Patriot Technologies Chooses Veracode as Preferred Application Security Testing Solution for U.S. Government and Commercial Organizations
Business Wire, March 24, 2008
Patriot to resell Veracode and utilize SecurityReview as value-add offering to its security appliance manufacturing customers
BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Veracode Inc., the leading provider of on-demand application security testing solutions, today announced it has entered into a partnership and reseller agreement with Patriot Technologies. As the "go-to" source for the Federal Government's information security solutions, Patriot will be reselling Veracode as well as using Veracode SecurityReview[R] as a value-add to its OEM security appliance manufacturing business. Additionally, as part of the partnership, Veracode has been added to Patriot's GSA schedule.
The GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide a centralized delivery system of products and services to the federal government - giving access to over 11 million commercial products and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors.
"We added Veracode SecurityReview to our solution suite because there is nothing like the offering - on-demand and automated - currently available from Patriot in our product portfolio," said Bruce Tucker, President and Founder of Patriot Technologies. "Our security appliance manufacturing clients will reap the benefits of a secure code seal of approval."
Market drivers within the federal government such as globalization of the federal software supply chain, a significant increase in attacks at the application and data layer, and compliance requirements like FISMA, OMB, and NIST underscore the strategic opportunity for Veracode's on-demand application security testing service not only as part of the GSA schedule, but also in Patriot's trusted partner portfolio.
"Patriot Technologies' proven track record of delivering customer-specific solutions based on security best practices to government and commercial organizations made the company a perfect fit to work with Veracode as not only a product partner, but as a value-added service to their security appliance manufacturing business," said Kimberly Baker, Veracode's Vice President of Government Markets. "In early 2008, Veracode announced expansion of its security testing service to address the specific needs of Federal Agencies, the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence community. The partnership with Patriot highlights the continued execution of that growth."
