PHOENIX -- Unicon, Inc., the leading provider of open source enterprise portals, applications, and top-end technology consulting for higher education, will be presenting and participating in a total of fifteen technical seminars at the upcoming 17th Annual JA-SIG Spring 2008 Conference being held in St. Paul, Minnesota, April 27-30, 2008. Several of Unicon's seminars will be presented with customers: Johns Hopkins University, University of Illinois, and the University of Wisconsin; and commercial partners Pearson Education and Oracle Corporation. This year's conference, themed as "Higher Education Solutions: The Community Source Way!", promises to be the premier open source event for higher education in 2008 with participation by leading open source communities such as CAS, DSpace, Fedora, Fluid, Internet2 Middleware, Kuali, Sakai, and uPortal. Six Unicon associates, including Vice President Adam Rybicki and Chief Software Architect John Lewis, will deliver presentations on a variety of subjects pertaining to open source application deployment, development, and support for the online campus.
