Program Helps Latino Families against Dangerous Fires

HOUSTON -- Because fire education and prevention are so important, Nationwide Insurance is proud to announce an event called !Ay Chispas!, taking place this Saturday, March 29. This is a bilingual program created in partnership with the National Latino Children's Institute providing a unique approach to education and awareness for the Latino family about protecting themselves against fires.

The event is in conjunction with the grand opening of a new Nationwide office being opened to reach the growing Hispanic consumer for insurance and financial service products.

Open to the public, the event will have games, refreshments, and demonstrations on how to use a fire extinguisher. There will also be a fire truck to have that hands-on experience and other interactive games for the kids. Nationwide will also distribute fire extinguishers and smoke alarms to attendees and conduct drawings for various prizes.
