Digital Cable Customers Get a Choice of Up to 80 Out-of-Market Weekly Games

Select MLB Games Carried Each Week in High Definition Starting April 17

HERNDON, Va. -- RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading provider of video, data, and voice services to residential, business and commercial/carrier customers, announced today that it will carry MLB EXTRA INNINGS baseball games on its digital cable network.

MLB EXTRA INNINGS brings viewers up to 80 out-of-market regular season Major League Baseball games a week. This means that if people live in one city and their team is in another, MLB EXTRA INNINGS lets them see the match-ups they want to watch. The games included on MLB EXTRA INNINGS are in addition to those available on FOX, ESPN, ESPN2, TBS and RCN customer's local in-market networks (such as a regional sports network and/or over-the-air network).

"This package was a hit with our customers last year, so we are pleased to announce that once again they will have an expanded choice of which baseball games to watch," said RCN President & CEO Peter Aquino. "We are committed to offering the best in sports and entertainment, and MLB EXTRA INNINGS, which gives fans the opportunity to watch favorite out-of-market teams, is an important part of our programming line-up."

RCN will offer the entire suite of MLB EXTRA INNINGS packages for the 2008 season across all markets. The Regular Season package costs $199 (or 4 installments of $49.75). Or, order by April 6 and get the Early Bird special for $159 (or 4 installments of $39.75). And starting April 17, RCN will carry 7-10 select MLB games each week in High Definition at no additional charge.
