Endesa S.A. Files Security Application to Cease Being Reporting Issuer in Canada
Business Wire, March 27, 2008
MADRID -- Endesa S.A. announced today that it has filed with the Ontario Securities Commission, as principal regulator, an application to cease to be a "reporting issuer" in the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
If the relief is granted, Endesa S.A. will cease to be a reporting issuer in Canada and as such will not be required to file financial statements and other continuous disclosure documents with Canadian regulatory authorities. Canadian shareholders will continue to receive, or have access to, all disclosure materials required by Spanish securities law to be delivered, or made available, to securities holders in Spain in the same manner and in the time prescribed by Spanish securities law.
