Premier Government Publisher Leverages FeedRoom Solutions to Create Robust New Environment for Online Video Content
NEW YORK -- The FeedRoom, a leading provider of Web video solutions for media companies, corporations and government agencies, today announced that e.Republic, Inc., the nation's leading IT publishing, research, event and new media company for state/local government and education markets, has deployed The FeedRoom's solutions to power the organization's robust Government Technology TV environment.
e.Republic publishes some of the government sector's most influential periodicals, including Government Technology and Public CIO, and is home both to the Center for Digital Government and Center for Digital Education. In deploying FeedRoom solutions for Government Technology TV (GTtv), e.Republic replaced its basic in-house player with a more elegant and scalable micro-site on the www.govtech.com Web site.
"We realized that if our online video channel was going to be an effective counterpart to our print titles, we needed a solution that would not only be more visually engaging but also allow us to expand our advertising and sponsorship capabilities," said Don Pearson, Vice President of e.Republic. "The FeedRoom's solution has not only made Government Technology TV a fully customizable user interface but a far greater source of potential revenue."
Government Technology TV houses more than 65 videos that feature prominent keynotes, newsmakers and reports, segments on emerging technologies and green initiatives as well as sponsored content from events such as the Government Technology Conference. The FeedRoom's solutions allow viewers to navigate the site's entire library or view individual videos in a "one-clip" format.
The FeedRoom's support of e.Republic represents its latest success in the public sector market, where it has provided online video solutions to entities such as the Department of State, Department of Health & Human Services and The Pentagon.
"The government market has increasingly become one in which there is an expectation not just for video content, but for that content to be presented in an accessible, logical manner," said Mark Portu, president and CEO of The FeedRoom. "e.Republic is a premier resource for content related to this market and they now have an environment that will allow them to leverage that content to its fullest benefit."
