Crossroads to Demonstrate Innovative Data Protection and Security Solutions at Booth 1157
AUSTIN, Texas -- Crossroads Systems, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: CRDS), a leading provider of data protection, security and connectivity solutions, today announced its participation at RSA Conference 2008 in San Francisco, California - April 7-11. Located at Booth 1157 in the Moscone Center, Crossroads will highlight several industry-leading products, including ReadVerify Appliance (RVA), TapeSentry, ShareLoader, FileMigrator Agent (FMA), DBProtector and its Virtual TapeServer (VTS)/SecureVTS.
Recognized as the premier international event for security technology, RSA Conference 2008 attracts more than 300 organizations to demonstrate their new solutions for a wide variety of vendors, end-user customers, analysts and journalists. Armed with significant innovations, Crossroads will demonstrate solutions designed to ensure the accessibility, resiliency and security of business-critical data including:
ReadVerify Appliance (RVA)
RVA is a stand-alone appliance that monitors and verifies readability of data written to tape. RVA provides advanced management features such as tape/drive performance and utilization analysis, tape media and drive statistical data logging, as well as automated reports and alert functionality.
ShareLoader
ShareLoader is a plug-and-play appliance that ensures automatic data protection across systems - including laptops, desktops, and those at remote offices - without requiring IT resources. ShareLoader allows employees to quickly and easily retrieve lost data themselves. ShareLoader's scalable data protection seamlessly integrates into existing customers' IT environments - therefore enabling companies to quickly, painlessly and cost-effectively protect their data.
FileMigrator Agent (FMA)
The FileMigrator Agent is a software solution that provides systematic migration of inactive and rarely used data on Windows-based file servers to Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Using FMA, storage capacity on active servers can be freed up ensuring a reduction in data backup volume. This migration is transparent to the user meaning inactive data is physically migrated but is still visible to the user. Thus, users can recall their data at anytime and help reduce corporate IT costs.
Virtual TapeServer (VTS)
VTS is a fully-integrated hardware and software solution delivering reliable, scalable and high-performance virtual tape for backup and restore performed on disk. VTS emulates a tape library by storing data onto disk as it would onto tape - but many times faster. SecureVTS is a software module for VTS that encrypts and decrypts backup data being written from one or more host servers. SecureVTS provides VTS users with an encryption solution that deploys on existing hardware, uses industry standard 256-bit AES symmetric key encryption, and includes an integrated key server and key database that supports the full key management lifecycle. SecureVTS is the most cost-effective approach to encrypting data stored on disks for VTS users as it is fully-integrated, rapid-to-implement and easy-to-manage.
TapeSentry
TapeSentry is an encryption appliance that delivers simple, rapid and maximum security to stored data on tape media. As a high-performance, standalone, enterprise-class appliance, TapeSentry, provides front side compression and robust encryption at wire-level speed, with zero impact on the network, server or existing backup infrastructure. TapeSentry provides industry standard encryption algorithms, crypto-signed logging, and robust key management to satisfy regulatory requirements and protect stored data from unauthorized data access, theft, accidental misplacement or loss. TapeSentry helps companies meet compliance requirements and protect the data of their customers quickly, simply and cost-effectively.
DBProtector
DBProtector[TM] is a database security appliance designed to stop "authorized" misuse of critical information through policy-based intrusion detection, prevention, and compliance auditing. It is a high-performance, standalone, enterprise-class solution that in real time inspects database activity, enforces security policies, alerts on suspicious activities, and captures audit trails for electronic discovery, forensic analysis, and compliance reporting. As a non-intrusive network appliance, it puts proactive control in the hands of security managers. DBProtector fortifies regulatory compliance through intelligent policy engine, automated audit reporting and forensic capabilities. DBProtector provides rapid, robust and cost-effective data security and regulator compliance.
"RSA Conference 2008 presents Crossroads with one of the best opportunities to demonstrate our innovative awards-winning technologies" said Rob Sims, President and CEO of Crossroads Systems. "This conference brings together security officers from multiple corporate verticals as well as government agencies - providing Crossroads the chance to demonstrate and sell its solutions to end-users with immediate data security needs and requirements."
