BroadVision CEO Dr. Pehong Chen Joins UFIDA's Board of Directors

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. & BEIJING -- UFIDA (SSE: 600588), China's largest software company, today announced that Dr. Pehong Chen, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of BroadVision, Inc. (OTCBB:BVSN) was elected to UFIDA's board of directors at the shareholders meeting held on March 25, 2008 in Beijing. Dr. Chen also sits on the board of SINA, China's largest Internet portal company.

Dr. Pehong Chen founded BroadVision in 1993 and took the company public in 1996. Prior to that, he was Vice-President of Multimedia Technology at Sybase, responsible for the company's interactive initiatives. Earlier, he founded and was President of Gain Technology, a leading supplier of multimedia software tools, where he pioneered multimedia as an enabling technology for a new generation of business applications. Gain was acquired by Sybase in 1992. Having personally started and run two successful software start-ups, Dr. Chen uses his experience and resources to help others do the same. In 1993, he provided startup capital for Siebel Systems, now a worldwide leader in front office automation software, and served on its Board of Directors until 1996. Siebel Systems was acquired by Oracle in 2005.
