Business Wire, March 4, 2008
ELMIRA, N.Y. & CORNING, N.Y. -- FirstFlight, Inc. (OTC BB: FFLT) a charter management and aviation services company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen J. Meyer as Senior Vice President of Sale as well as the addition of several new members to its charter sales team.
Mr. Meyer, age 56, is a former Executive Vice President and major shareholder of Central Sprinkler Corporation. Central Sprinkler was a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of automatic fire sprinkler heads before it was acquired in 1999 by Tyco Industries.
As a pilot, and through his participation in the charter management industry as an owner of several aircraft during his professional career, Mr. Meyer is uniquely positioned to lead FirstFlight's sales and marketing efforts.
John Dow, president and CEO of FirstFlight, stated, "It has been my pleasure to know and work with Steve Meyer for the past several years. We became acquainted because Steve owned aircraft and looked to FirstFlight for its aircraft management capability. With that as a basis, it was Steve's professionalism and integrity that motivated us to work closer together. I look forward to the impact of Steve's discipline and creativity on the charter sales team and across the entire organization."
Joining Steve in the charter sales department are Seth Rothman, Anthony Johns, and David Logalbo. Mr. Rothman will be located in Miami and will focus on Florida and the Southeast US. Mr. Johns will be located in Palm Beach and will also focus on Florida and the Southeast US. Mr. Logalbo will be located in Bridgeport, Connecticut and will focus on Boston and the New England corridor. These sales professionals, with a combined 30 years of aviation experience, will be responsible for charter, management and aircraft acquisitions as well as expanding the Company's aircraft maintenance opportunities in their respective geographies.
"I am excited to work with the FirstFlight team in this new capacity," stated Stephen Meyer. "Seth, Anthony and David are wonderful additions to our current staff of outstanding sales folks in Teterboro, New Jersey. They bring a wealth of experience and will ply their trade in marketplaces that FirstFlight has identified for strategic expansion. With the exceptional fleet of FirstFlight aircraft at our disposal, plus the growth that we are confident will come, we are well-positioned to deliver our sales objectives."
