Bay to Discuss Retail's Prominent Role in Distributing Digital Media Content

SEATTLE -- MOD Systems, an industry leading provider of in-store digital media solutions, today announced Anthony Bay, co-founder and executive chairman of MOD Systems, has been selected to speak at the 38th Annual Content Delivery & Storage Forum in Palm Springs, on Friday, March 7, 2008.

The session titled, "In-store Digital Media Creation," examines the innovative ways to deliver rental and long-tail sell-through content to consumers using in-store kiosks. Anthony Bay will be speaking with Chris Armstrong, founder & CEO of PortoMedia.

Bay's portion of the discussion will focus on the important role retail plays in the digital age. He will address how solutions, such as the MOD Systems platform and its consumer kiosk - called the MOD POD - enable consumers to search, sample and buy a wide variety of content including music, movies, games, ringtones and more. In addition, Bay will address the variety of ways consumers can use the MOD POD to download content directly to a portable device or burn CDs and DVDs.

"Today retail is the primary distribution channel for content, and with the emergence of Media On-Demand systems, retail will continue to play a key role in the digital age," said Anthony Bay, executive chairman and co-founder of MOD Systems. "These on-demand systems provide retailers with the unique ability to operate in a hybrid digital and physical role and compete with online-only resellers. By also allowing consumers to choose content and fulfillment options, retailers create an engaging in-store experience; converting their stores into digital destinations."

As highlighted in the February 21, 2008 article in The Economist titled, "Coming Soon," MOD Systems is a leader in the delivery of digital media content to portable devices in retail.

Bay added, "Retailers are quickly recognizing that the value of the MOD system extends far beyond selling tracks of music in store - it's becoming a new core technology platform and application for retail similar to POS, ERP, CRM and digital signage. I am honored to speak at the Content Delivery & Storage Forum to share my experiences and insights on this emerging industry."
