Registration Open for TLM-2 Workshop, European Users Group Meeting

Open SystemC Initiative:

WHO: OSCI, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing SystemC[TM] as an industry-standard language for electronic system-level (ESL) design, announces its major DATE 2008 events. The press is welcome at all events with pre-registration.

WHAT/WHEN:

WORKSHOP: OSCI will conduct a free workshop on the new TLM-2 standard for transaction-level modeling on Tuesday, March 11, 14:30 - 18:00 in Room 21a, ICM. To register and for details: www.mod-marketing.com/osci/event3.php. This workshop will present the details of the latest OSCI TLM-2 standard. TLM-2 explicitly addresses the interoperability of memory-mapped bus models at the transaction level, as well as providing a foundation and framework for the transaction level modeling of other protocols.

USERS GROUP: The European SystemC Users Group (ESCUG) will hold its 16th annual meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 18:00 - 21:00 in Room 11, ICM. ESCUG, one of several international SystemC Users Groups, provides a format for users to learn, interact and discuss modeling and verification using SystemC. Admission is free for industry professionals.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER SESSION: OSCI's SystemC AMS Working Group will conduct an open, interactive session entitled, "Where Two Worlds Meet: SystemC AMS and TLM." The session is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 12:30 - 14:00 in Room 21a, ICM. No registration is required.

WHY: Worldwide momentum and SystemC adoption is growing. These events demonstrate the strength of OSCI and its dedication to providing mechanisms that allow collaboration and information exchange among members of the SystemC community. Transaction-level modeling (TLM) continues to grow in importance for architectural exploration, performance analysis, building virtual platforms for software development, and functional verification. The December 2007 release of the TLM-2 draft 2 standard from the OSCI TLM Working Group marks the culmination of several years of intensive work, and is a significant step toward making interoperable transaction-level modeling a reality.
