ASTAR Air Cargo Pilots Ratify Amended Labor Contract

Business Wire, March 4, 2008

MIAMI -- ASTAR Air Cargo (ASTAR) said today it has been informed that crew members represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) have overwhelmingly ratified a four-year amendment and extension to its contract with the company.

"We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the ratification vote," said John Dasburg, ASTAR's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President. "This agreement is fair and equitable for both the company and our pilots. The contract provides increased wages, benefits and security for our pilots, while also providing ASTAR with a platform for future business growth in an increasingly competitive marketplace."

"I appreciate the hard work and the significant effort put forth by the bargaining committees in reaching this agreement and securing the future of ASTAR and its employees. Specifically, I would like to recognize the vision and commitment of MEC Chairman Pat Walsh. Pat's leadership was critical to concluding this successful agreement," said Dasburg.

Negotiations were conducted and concluded with the assistance of Mediator Zachery Jones and the National Mediation Board.
