MALVERN, Pa. -- IKON Office Solutions (NYSE:IKN), the world's largest independent channel for document management systems and services, today announced that ADG Printing and Sir Speedy of Tacoma have each installed a Canon imagePRESS C7000VP digital color press, allowing them greater capacity and enhanced flexibility in meeting their customers' printing needs.
Designed for production environment customers who want a more flexible and cost-effective digital color solution that is on par with offset color printing image quality and performance, the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP features industry-leading color imaging technology and produces images that are consistently printed at a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. In addition, it features Canon's innovative dual-fusing technology, which allows the system to maintain a constant engine speed of 70 letter-sized pages per minute, regardless of the paperweight, and maintains a 10,000-sheet maximum paper input.
ADG Printing
Based in Lynnwood, Washington, ADG Printing was founded in 1984, and has served more than 15,000 customers in that time. With 12 employees, ADG specializes in printing for the real estate market, photographers and small businesses. "Postcards have always been one of our strengths from the beginning," says Gabe Miklos, President of ADG Printing. "We specialize in direct mail and are one of the top 100 mailers in the state of Washington."
ADG is committed to digital printing, as the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP is replacing two offset printing presses in ADG's shop. "The future of our company is based on the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP," says Miklos. "It fits our needs perfectly, and is allowing us to be more productive than ever before. With its variable data capabilities, as well as its ease in handling short printing runs, and its constant speed no matter what type of stock is being used, the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP has really made a positive difference in our shop."
After comparing several different vendors, Miklos selected IKON, and is very pleased with the service he has received. "I had used IKON for service in the past, and they had always taken very good care of my machines," he explains. "From my first meeting with my sales professional, to the service technician assigned to my account, I can't say enough about the tremendous service I've received from IKON. They have a genuine interest in my needs and are always responsive."
Sir Speedy of Tacoma
Founded in 1989, Sir Speedy serves the Tacoma, Washington area, and has 23 full-time employees. Serving a wide variety of corporate clients, Sir Speedy is also expanding its capabilities. "We're creating integrated marketing solutions, including personalized landing pages and variable data offerings," explains Jim Brebner, President, Sir Speedy of Tacoma. "The Canon imagePRESS C7000VP will play an integral part in meeting our new capabilities."
Brebner purchased the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP as a replacement for an older machine. "After reviewing all of the competition, I selected the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP because of its better image quality, its elimination of fuser streaks, and its ability to run at a constant speed even with heavier stocks," he said. "With our old machine, variable data used to be a painful process, with complicated jobs sometimes taking hours to RIP. The speed on the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP is tremendous - the difference is like night and day."
Brebner is a first time IKON customer, and it was the depth of service support that led him to choose IKON for the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP. "The level of service I've received has been great," says Brebner. "There is a genuine response to our needs and IKON helps with any issue we have." Brebner has also taken advantage of training through IKON. "The Canon imagePRESS C7000VP is a very intuitive machine," says Brebner. "But, the training IKON has provided has been invaluable to learn the 'little extras' that make it that much easier to use its full production capabilities."
