ASRC Aerospace Receives the George M. Low

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) presented the George M. Low award to ASRC Aerospace Corporation on February 26th in recognition of sustained, high quality performance in launch site design engineering, project management, technology development, and technical support services. James F. Madewell, former President, ASRC Aerospace Corporation (ASRC Aerospace) accepted the small business service award from Bryan O'Connor, NASA's Chief of Safety and Mission Assurance and Christopher Scolese, NASA's Associate Administrator. ASRC Aerospace supports the Shuttle and Constellation human spaceflight programs and NASA's aeronautical missions at Kennedy Space Center, Glenn Research Center, Ames Research Center, and Johnson Space Center.
The George M. Low Award is NASA's premier award for quality and performance. This program recognizes large and small businesses that demonstrate excellence and outstanding technical and managerial achievements in quality and performance on NASA contracts or subcontracts.

The award was named after George M. Low, a NASA leader who was dedicated to quality and excellence. George M. Low's career and achievements spanned many fields: space science, aeronautics, technology, and education. In the space program, he provided management and direction for the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and advanced manned missions programs.
