ProModel Corporation's Technology and Services Lead U.S. Army Forces Command to 2007 Army Modeling and Simulation Award
Business Wire, March 6, 2008
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- ProModel Corporation, a leading predictive analytic Business Improvement (BI) software and services company, today announced that the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) team won the 2007 Army Modeling and Simulation (M&S) award in the Plans and Operations category for the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) Synchronization Tool (AST). FORSCOM uses ProModel's custom predictive analytic software and services to source and synchronize Army resources.
"I would like to extend my personal congratulations to the winners of this year's Army Modeling and Simulation Awards," says James C. Cooke, Director of Army Modeling and Simulation. "The hard work and dedication to the advancement of M and S these companies have exhibited in support of the Warfighter is commendable. The awards recognize the dedication and innovation in developing, improving, and using M and S, and contributions to the implementation of the Army's Strategic Vision. These efforts are essential in providing the Army with the most effective support now and in future."
By combining the current "stove-piped" functions inherent in Army Force Generation, ProModel's AST allows the Army staff, commands, and other entities to have a collective, common view of Army Force Generation from the unit through the service level. The AST Project Team also enables the Army to view the predicted impact of today's synchronization decisions on tomorrow's utilization of the Army inventory moving through ARFORGEN phases.
AST "on screen" capabilities make it possible to consolidate data from multiple sources, apply existing or possible business rules, simulate outcomes, and automatically depict results, thereby eliminating lengthy manual, linear, and presentation-based methods currently employed. Additionally, AST cuts single Courses of Action development time from days to minutes, while enabling multiple Courses of Action production within the same timeframe.
The award will be presented Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Department of Defense Modeling and Simulation Conference in Orlando, Fla.
