Nintendo and GolinHarris, rbb Public Relations and Edelman Win Big at 2008 PRWeek Awards

NEW YORK -- Nintendo, rbb Public Relations, and Edelman were among the big winners at the PRWeek 2008 Awards, held at New York City's Tavern of the Green last night.
"All of the winners, honorable mentions, and finalists in our 33 categories provided exemplary work for their companies and clients," said Keith O'Brien, PRWeek editor-in-chief. "The awards serve as a testament to the innovative, creative, and effective work taking place in the PR industry."
Nintendo and GolinHarris took the PRWeek Campaign of the Year honors for their work on the Wii launch, titled "Wii Launch: How Wii Helped Nintendo Get Its Game Back." The team also took home the award for Consumer Launch Campaign of the Year.
Ketchum and Delta Air Lines received the Campaign of the Year honorable mention for "Saying 'No!' to US Airways Hostile Takeover Bid: The Campaign to 'Keep Delta My Delta'"
Other campaign winners included Weber Shandwick and the National Marrow Donor Program, Edelman and Microsoft, Kaplow and Blue Planet Run, and Carmichael Lynch Spong and Dunkin' Brands. For a full list of Award winners, click here.
Rbb Public Relations took home both the Agency of the Year and Small Agency of the Year Awards. Edelman triumphed in the Large Agency of the Year category, and OutCast Communications took home the Midsize Agency of the Year trophy.
MWW CEO Michael Kempner took home the PR Professional of the Year award and Ogilvy's Jake Basden won Young PR Professional of the Year.
"The winners help put the industry's recent successes and advances into a tangible framework, with examples of great work in a marketing environment that is constantly broadening," said Julia Hood, PRWeek publishing director.
