Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc.'s Fatburger Unit Implements Systemwide Online and Text Messaging Ordering Program
Business Wire, May 1, 2008
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc.'s (OTCBB:FCCG) Fatburger unit has announced the implementation of an online ordering program for all Fatburger locations. The launch was segmented into five waves which began on March 10.
This new program will provide customers with the opportunity to place and pay for their orders online through the Kudzu Interactive ordering system. Once the order is placed through the Internet, the customer's order is sent directly to the store's point-of-sale system and the customer's credit card is billed immediately. At the same time, customers are given the option of opting-in to receive a text message of their online order directly to their cell phone. Customers can then re-order, at a later date, by simply replying to the text message, and the order is charged directly to their credit card. Customers are then able to proceed to a special "Pick-Up Here" sign, saving them valuable time and the ability to avoid any lines.
"Our customers can now click, call or text their order and skip the lines," said Andy Wiederhorn, chairman of Fatburger. "One of the goals of implementing this new system was to make ordering more convenient for our customers. We understand their time is a precious commodity, and this new program will help to eliminate their wait after ordering."
Fatburger is a quick-casual, takeout and sit-down restaurant serving big, juicy burgers custom made to guests' taste buds. The taste and quality of Fatburger inspires a fierce loyalty among customers that crosses all demographic lines, including Hollywood personalities and sports stars. For more than 55 years, Fatburger has been dedicated to serving big, fresh, 100 percent pure lean beef burgers custom made and grilled right in front of customers.
Every signature 1/3 lb. Fatburger patty is fresh, never frozen and can be indulgently dressed with all the usual condiments, plus inspired choices such as chili, bacon and even a fried egg. For those with a heartier appetite, there's a half-pound Kingburger.
Fatburger's spacious restaurants feature a hip '50s-style decor accented with bright colors, neon lighting, stainless steel accents and various memorabilia. Rock and classic soul tunes wail from the Web-enabled digital jukebox that has a catalog of more than 250,000 songs.
