ThinkFree Mobile Prepares for the Future With a Boundless Strategy Optimized for Mobile Devices

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- ThinkFree Inc. a leader in next-generation office productivity solutions, today announced its boundless-platform and cross-platform mobile strategy, named ThinkFree Mobile. This new strategy will allow users the ability to read, write, edit and organize documents, spreadsheets and presentations on mobile devices using ThinkFree Write, Calc and Show. The mobile edition extends ThinkFree's productivity suite onto a variety of portable Windows and Linux compatible devices and platforms.

ThinkFree Mobile adds another key component to the current ubiquitous documentations platform, allowing customers to synchronize files online and offline while on mobile devices. ThinkFree Mobile comes initially in three versions: lite editor, standard editor and viewer. While the mobile lite editor provides editing functions optimized for small screen size devices, the standard editor is the same as the full-featured ThinkFree Office. Furthermore, the mobile standard editor includes ThinkFree Manager which handles online and offline document synchronization. Viewer is a specialized for mobile devices allowing users to only view documents in Write, Calc, and Show. The viewer is ideal for reading documents that are created by the Microsoft office suite. The mobile viewer includes a simplified user interface that is designed especially for comfortable viewing on portable devices. Functions such as zoom, pan and full screen navigation are seamlessly integrated into ThinkFree Mobile Viewer.

ThinkFree Mobile is optimized for small screens, providing a controllable and manageable user interface allowing mobile devices to be truly effective editing tools. Also, finger touch technology provides optimized control for seeing documents via a finger touch-driven user interface on any mobile device. ThinkFree Mobile will be compatible with Microsoft Office 97, 2000, XP, 2003 and 2007.

Currently, the mobile suite is available only to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), telecommunication companies, telecommunication operators and Independent Software Vendor (ISVs).
