CA Receives Highest Possible Rating of "Strong Positive" in Leading Analyst Firm's IT Asset Management Repository MarketScope Report
Business Wire, May 12, 2008
ISLANDIA, N.Y. -- CA (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that it has received the highest possible rating of "Strong Positive" in the Gartner report "MarketScope for the IT Asset Management Repository, 2008."* CA was among 11 vendors evaluated in the report and received the "Strong Positive" rating, which according to Gartner, is "viewed as a provider with strategic products, services and solutions."
Gartner analysts wrote in the report, "The future of ITAM repositories will unfold in two directions: First, the market will continue evolving toward the alignment of costs, compliance and contractual information with IT service management. ....The second area is the intersection of PPM toolsets. ...The need for integration with governance tools to provide granular information to improve executive decisions can't be underestimated."
CA's IT Asset Management Solution is designed to help manage the life cycle of IT assets--from planning through requisition, management and retirement--as well as all of the physical, financial and contractual aspects of IT assets. It offers additional business value through strong integration with CA's Service Management and Project and Portfolio Management Solutions.
"We believe Gartner's 'Strong Positive' rating confirms CA's leadership position in the IT asset management market and reflects our commitment to providing customers with a solution to control IT costs, manage risks, and optimize IT performance in support of business goals," said Brian Bell, senior vice president of the CA Service Management Business Unit. "Our large base of global customers is already reaping the benefits of the CA IT Asset Management Solution's strategic integration with IT service management and project and portfolio management solutions."
