Business Wire, May 13, 2008
OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has expanded the coverage in its Best's State Rate Filings product with the debut of rate filings for Arizona. In addition, subscribers to the Searchable Database version of the product now have access to complete documentation as filed by insurers with their state insurance departments. Customers will continue to receive access to concise filing summaries but will now be able to view complete filing PDFs, provided at no additional cost, for 28 states.
Best's State Rate Filings provides industry professionals with state specific information about policy rate changes, loss cost data and details on new programs.
Filings are presented in a consistent format so they can easily be compared and analyzed across states. Covering both commercial and personal lines of business, all filings have been approved or filed for use by the respective state insurance departments.
Each month, subscribers receive an e-mail alert when filings have been posted on the Best's State Rate Filings Web site, giving them quick access to rate filing reports in Adobe([R]) PDF format.
The searchable database offers a comprehensive search engine, as well as a three-year archive of monthly rate filing reports, an eight-year record of filings and value added market share data from Best's State/Line products. Access to the entire set of data fields published in the monthly rate filing reports is provided, letting users easily search, sort and export data from multiple states.
Best's State Rate Filings can be purchased online at ratefilings.ambest.com or by calling (908) 439-2200, ext. 5674. Multi-state discounts are available.
Please note that complete filings will not be available for every filing offered on the Best's State Rate Filings Web site. A.M. Best will not be able to copy all filings that are reported, due to restrictions within certain state insurance departments and cannot guarantee that filings will contain all submitted company documentation. A.M. Best plans to maintain a two-year archive going back to January 2008 for most filings.
Founded in 1899, A.M. Best Company is a global full-service credit rating organization dedicated to serving the financial and health care service industries, including insurance companies, banks, hospitals and health care system providers. For more information, visit www.ambest.com.
