Notable highlights of the 2Q08 Argentina Mobile Forecast include:

- Total subscribers in Argentina will increase from 41.5 million in 2008 to 44.2 million in 2010.

- The two largest operators - Movistar Argentina (TEF) and CTI (AMX) - will continue to have very similar market shares (by subscribers). The authors are forecasting that the market share of Movistar will decrease from a projected 35.0% in 2008 to 34.6% in 2010 while we expect CTI's market share to increase slightly to 35.3% in 2010.

- Telecom Argentina will continue to suffer from the highest churn rate in the country at 2.8% monthly churn rate from 2008 to 2010. The authors note that these levels of churn are 1.7x and 1.3x churn rates at Movistar and CTI, respectively.

- The authors are forecasting that Movistar Argentina will have the lowest EBITDA margin of 34.4% in 2010 in Argentina. On the other hand, Telecom Argentina, CTI, and Nextel will enjoy higher EBITDA margins at around 35% - 40% in 2010.

- As in the authors previous forecasts, the authors think that in 2010 Nextel, which will provide services to 2.6% of total subscribers, will receive the highest ARPU of $47.88 per month. The authors note that this is 3.3x higher than the closest competitor (Telecom Argentina).
