Using the Web for Competitive Intelligence
HOUSTON -- The Houston Interactive Marketing Association (HiMA) is hosting a luncheon for companies that want to know more about the burgeoning field of competitive analysis and how interactive marketing plays a part. The luncheon will take place on May 29, 2008 at The Houston City Club.
The keynote speaker is Bill McCloskey, Chairman, Co-founder - and self-professed Chief Evangelist - of Email Data Source. Mr. McCloskey is a big believer in competitive intelligence, specifically in the email channel. Mr. McCloskey will examine how marketers are applying competitive intelligence data to improve overall campaign performance.
Mr. McCloskey is among the most influential thought leaders in the field of interactive marketing. He was named one of online advertising's 50 most influential people by Media Magazine in 2004, and one of the 100 people to know by B2B Magazine in 2003. Since then, Mr. McCloskey has authored a weekly column called The Email Insider that is read by more than 40,000 marketers worldwide.
Topics to be explored include:
* How to avoid unpleasant surprises by anticipating competitors' moves
* Evaluation of competitive intelligence tools, including a demonstration of Email Analyst
* A case study on how pizza brands are using email and the web to drive sales and retain customers
* A review of the most successful email marketers and their campaigns
The luncheon takes place May 29, 2008 from 11:15 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. including lunch and opportunities for networking. It will be held at The Houston City Club, Houston, Texas.
Registration through May 23 is $25 for HiMA members, $35 for non-members, and $15 for faculty and staff. Registration after May 23 is $35 for members, $45 for non-members, and $25 for faculty and staff.
