Midamar Corporation Wins Global Iowa Export Award

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Midamar Corporation was selected by the Iowa Department of Economic Development to receive a 2008 Global Iowa Conference Excellence in Exporting Award.

Iowa Governor Chet Culver presented the award to three International Sales Account Managers, Hatem Abumaizer, Doug Robinson and David Sellers of Midamar Corporation at the Global Iowa Conference on May 13, 2008, at the Sheraton in West Des Moines. Bill Aossey, the President of Midamar Corporation, was unable to attend the award presentation as he was attending the World Halal Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to jointly accept the Best New Halal Product 2008 Award presented by the Prime Minister of Malaysia. His sons, Y.Bill and Jalel Aossey, both Directors of the company were also unavailable as they were attending a trade show in Kuwait to further promote Iowa and other domestic exports to the region.
