KODAK i780 Scanner Takes Top Honors Among all Computer Peripherals at FOSE 2008
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Businesses, organizations and government agencies face a significant challenge: how to effectively deal with an ever increasing number of forms and other paperwork they need to process each and every day. At the recent FOSE 2008 Conference and Exposition, the new KODAK i780 Scanner took top honors among all computer peripherals--including other document scanners and multi-function printer/copiers--and was recognized with a Best of FOSE Award from Government Computer News.
"The Best of FOSE Award recognizes Kodak's document scanning expertise, and the KODAK i780 Scanner's first rate image quality and rapid capture speed," said Dolores Kruchten, General Manager, Document Imaging, Graphic Communications Group, and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. "Winning this, our fourth consecutive FOSE Award, attests to Kodak's dedication to providing document capture products, software, and solutions which provide innovative, easy to use, and affordable ways to increase operational efficiency."
"The United States Government is the world's largest purchaser of IT products. FOSE continues to be a showcase for the latest in technology offerings for the government; and in particular, products that meet the government's demanding requirements for scale and security," said Wyatt Kash, Editor-in-Chief, Government Computer News. "With so many quality submissions, we struggled to narrow down the 2008 GCN Best of FOSE winners, suggesting once again the degree of technology innovation that companies are focusing on for public sector applications."
The i780 Scanner has a U.S. list price of $39,995 and is available from Kodak's channel partners. KODAK products are backed by KODAK Service and Support.
