International IT Vendors and Global 1000 Companies Increase Adoption of the Modernization Workbench[R]; Enterprise Edition Offers Best-in-Class Tools to IT Teams
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Relativity Technologies, Inc. has announced the completion of another record-setting quarter of growth. Adoption of the Modernization Workbench[R] continues as technology and service providers strengthen their commitment to the dominant platform for application modernization and application portfolio management.
Highlights of Q1 2008 include:
* Financial Growth: Demand for the Modernization Workbench has dramatically accelerated with bookings for Q1 2008 nearly double the Q1 2007 level. Now more than 400 clients worldwide have relied on Relativity Technologies' software solutions to align their application portfolios with business goals, including 14 new clients in Q1.
* Enterprise Edition: Relativity Technologies launched the most significant expansion in its platform to date. The Modernization Workbench Enterprise Edition provides global and outsourced IT teams with secure, remote-access to the most comprehensive software platform for maintaining and modernizing enterprise applications.
* Portfolio Management: To complement its solution for application portfolio management, Relativity Technologies released its Function Point Analyzer module. This first-to-market technology offers accelerated, repeatable, and industry-standard function point counts based on IFPUG guidelines - enabling managers to apply IT governance practices to their enterprise applications.
* Market Standardization: As the market for modernization solutions becomes more intense, technology and service providers must adopt best-in-class technology. In this past quarter, Relativity Technologies signed multiple agreements with the world's premier IT organizations to become their preferred platform for application modernization and management.
"Modernization has become a burning issue for CIOs as they seek to align their application portfolios with critical priorities like security, efficiency, agility, and regulatory compliance," said Steve Maysonave, chairman, president, and CEO of Relativity Technologies. "As a result, these executives require powerful, complete, and business-centric solutions to speed modernization initiatives. Relativity Technologies uniquely addresses these imperatives."
According to Gartner, Inc.: "IT management teams must place modernizing strategic planning at the core of their 2008 objectives and immediately apply this capability to IT modernization efforts. By year-end 2010, more than one-third of all application projects will be driven by the need to deal with technology or skills obsolescence."
