dressbarn Introduces Exclusive "Heart Key Ring," Encouraging Customers to "Have a Heart, Wear a Heart;" Contributes Proceeds to Charity

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- dressbarn, a leading retailer and authority on women's fashion, has begun its annual participation as an American Cancer Society Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program member for 2008. Relay For Life is the largest global cancer fighting movement that unites communities across the world to raise awareness and funds to support the American Cancer Society's research and programs.

Beyond sales associate and community involvement in the events, dressbarn is also introducing its exclusive Heart Key Ring that will be sold in all stores for $5.00 from May 12 through August 31, or while supplies last. dressbarn wants customers to "have a heart, wear a heart," and dressbarn will contribute the entire net profit of $2.50 to the American Cancer Society.

"Since 2002, we've worked closely with the American Cancer Society and continue to raise the bar for participation and contributions every year," said dressbarn President and CEO David R. Jaffe. "Through sales of our Heart Key Ring and the growing number of dressbarn teams participating in this year's events, we expect to exceed last year's turnout in both community member support and dollars donated to the American Cancer Society."

In 2008, more than 4,900 Relay events will be held across the country, in addition to events in 19 countries around the world. Teams will gather at schools, fairgrounds or parks and take turns walking or running laps to fight back against cancer. Last year, more than 250 dressbarn, inc. teams, comprised of customers, executives and store associates, participated in Relay For Life events and raised more than $750,000 through team fundraising and in-store promotions.

The dressbarn, inc. Foundation has pledged to also contribute $200,000 in support of teams representing its national dressbarn and its other retail subsidiary, maurices. To date, dressbarn, inc. has contributed over $4 million to the American Cancer Society.
