KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced that tickets are on sale for Kung Fu Panda: The IMAX Experience. The movie opens Friday, June 6 at a total of 18 Regal Entertainment Group IMAX([R]) theatres across the country.

"Regal Entertainment Group is pleased to offer another IMAX film to our moviegoers during this summer movie season. Kung Fu Panda will be a great film for the whole family, and will be even more fun in IMAX," stated Dick Westerling, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Regal Entertainment Group.

In Kung Fu Panda, Po is the biggest fan of kung fu around, which doesn't come in handy while working in his family's noodle shop. When he's unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality and he joins the world of kung fu to study alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five: Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, and Monkey -- under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard, Tai Lung, is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Po puts his heart into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
