Marks TuringSMI's second strategic acquisition in the North American Business Service Management market

FAREHAM, England -- TuringSMI Group Limited, a leading global provider of BMC Business Service Management solutions, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire the BMC Remedy division of generationE Technologies. It follows the earlier announcement of its intention to acquire BMC Elite Solution Partner, EMS, and caps a landmark development in TuringSMI's Business Service Management (BSM) presence in the North American market *1. Part of a global market for IT Management Software that Forrester sized in 2007 at over $15 billion in software licences and maintenance revenues.*2

The acquisition, expected to close within 45 days, will see TuringSMI take complete responsibility for generationE's extensive BMC customer base. An accredited BMC partner, generationE has excellent synergy with TuringSMI. generationE's rich experience of delivering BSM, ITIL and ITSM solutions to its BMC customers will seamlessly integrate with TuringSMI's strong BSM offering. Geographically it also complements TuringSMI's North American footprint, strengthening its presence in the Mid-West and Western states.

It provides a great opportunity for generationE's customers who will now gain access to a wealth of expertise within the TuringSMI global support network for BSM, as well as BMC domain expertise in managed services and key verticals such as telecommunications and capital markets.
