Business Wire, May 27, 2008
Alan Kerr Brings 30 Years of Experience in Sales Management and Hybrid Go-To-Market Business Models
BASINGSTOKE, England -- Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced the appointment of Alan Kerr as its Executive Vice President of Field Operations. Kerr will oversee Kofax's customer-facing functions on a global basis, including all sales, professional services, maintenance services, channel management, business development and sales operations activities.
"Alan brings an abundance of global experience in enterprise software sales management and hybrid go-to-market business models that leverage direct as well as indirect sales through channel and technology partners. He has an impressive track record of successfully achieving goals and objectives while effecting positive change in a number of companies. He's a great addition to our executive management team and will be instrumental in executing our revenue growth strategies," said Reynolds C. Bish, Chief Executive Officer of Kofax. "We cannot imagine a better fit for our business and future direction."
Kerr comes to Kofax from HP, where he was most recently Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution within HP Software, the company's enterprise software group. During his tenure with HP Software, he also served as Vice President of Global Operations, where he oversaw the integration of Mercury Interactive into the HP Software organization. Prior to HP Kerr was part of the executive management team at Peregrine Systems Inc., where he was instrumental in restructuring that business prior to it being acquired by HP. He previously held senior sales management positions at a number of other technology companies, including Ascential Software, Informix Software, Software AG and Data General.
"I'm truly pleased to join Kofax at a time when the company is evolving to better address the capture market and take advantage of its position as the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions," said Kerr. "I believe we have a very exciting future and look forward to working with Reynolds, the rest of the executive management team and the entire Kofax field organization to leverage our strengths and take advantage of new opportunities as they develop."
The appointment of Kerr is the latest in a recent series of major initiatives designed to enhance Kofax's market position and growth potential. This includes adopting Kofax as a single corporate brand and company name, restructuring the corporation around global business functions, realigning and better focusing the company's sales resources, and introducing new revenue growth initiatives.
