HELDREF PUBLICATIONS LAUNCHES ONLINE EDITION OF "WORLD AFFAIRS" WITH SITEEXECUTIVE[TM]
Online Readership for International Affairs Journal Exceeds Expectations by 500 Percent, Heldref Will Bring Five More Magazines Online with SiteExecutive Web Content Management
Systems Alliance Inc., a software development firm and systems integrator providing high-value IT and business consulting services, today announced Heldref Publications has launched an online edition of World Affairs, its quarterly international affairs journal, using SiteExecutive[TM], Systems Alliance's Web content management system. In addition to licensing SiteExecutive software as a service (SaaS), Heldref engaged Systems Alliance professional services for help with information architecture, site design and development, content management training and Web hosting.
"Heldref's editors are passionate about their magazines. They are subject matter experts committed to delivering an outstanding product for their readers," said Christine Polcino, Chief Operating Office of Heldref Publications. "They've wanted more control over the Web publishing process and are thrilled about what they can accomplish using SiteExecutive."
Prior to implementing SiteExecutive, all Website updates at Heldref were made by the firm's Web developers. Recognizing it needed to streamline this process in order to deliver more content online, Heldref conducted a search for Web content management software and selected SiteExecutive.
With the launch of the World Affairs site (www.worldaffairsjournal.org), Heldref became the first Systems Alliance customer to go live with SiteExecutive 4.1. The site leverages several SiteExecutive 4.1 features, notably Content Intelligence, which makes it easy for readers to find content related to articles published on the World Affairs site based on topic or author.
Since launching in late January, World Affair's online readership has exceeded expectations by over 500 percent. This translates into greater visibility for the publication, helping attract more subscribers and contributions from some of the most engaging and well-known non-fiction writers of our day. Based on the success of the World Affairs project, Heldref will expand its online presence, creating new Websites for five other magazines, and also revamping the main Heldref site, which supports the organization's 40-plus scholarly journals and magazines.
"The World Affairs Website is a great example of how SiteExecutive helps our clients meet their business needs by fostering a better Web experience for site visitors and content contributors," said Ric Hughes, president and CEO, Systems Alliance. "We're very pleased to have Heldref as a SiteExecutive client and proud of our team's contribution to the successful re-launch of World Affairs."
