SDR Ventures Facilitates Acquisition of Transport Refrigeration Distributor

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- SDR Ventures, Inc., a Greenwood Village-based investment banking firm, announced the successful sale of Carrier Transicold of Southern California to Carrier Corporation.

For over 35 years, Carrier Transicold of Southern California has been a leader in sales and service for transportation refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in Southern California. In addition to the sale and rental of its refrigerated trailer rental fleet, Carrier Transicold of Southern California offers auxiliary power units that satisfy EPA and CARB anti-idling laws and the largest parts inventory on the west coast.

Carrier Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), is a leader in providing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) systems, components, controls and services for residential, commercial, industrial and transportation applications.

SDR Ventures served as a consultant and financial advisor to Carrier Transicold of Southern California and assisted in several aspects of the transaction, including the development of its client's strategic alternatives, managing the due diligence process, structuring the transaction, and assisting in discussions and negotiations with Carrier Corporation. The process resulted in Carrier Corporation acquiring all of the assets of Carrier Transicold of Southern California.
