Timesys Announces Embedded Linux Support for Atmel's AT91SAM9G20 32-bit Embedded Microprocessor

Leverages 100% Increased SAM9 Platform Performance at Half the Power Consumption of Its Predecessor

PITTSBURGH -- Timesys Corporation (http://www.timesys.com), a premier provider of embedded Linux software solutions, today announced LinuxLink support for the Atmel([R]) AT91SAM9G20 Embedded Microprocessor. LinuxLink for the SAM9G20 leverages the increased processor performance and reduced power consumption offered by the new Atmel SAM9 platform.

With this LinuxLink, subscribers will get web-based access to a Linux platform that has been pre-complied, integrated and tested for the AT91SAM9G20 Evaluation Kit, including a 2.6.25 Linux kernel, toolchain and hundreds of glibC and uClibc packages. Additionally, subscribers will have access to TimeStorm development tools, web-based support and a vast suite of documentation to customize and test their embedded Linux platform for a given application.
