Pan-American Life Insurance Company Announces New Vice President of International and Domestic Life Insurance Operations

NEW ORLEANS -- Pan-American Life Insurance Company, a leading international insurance company providing life insurance, worksite benefits and financial services for more than 95 years, announced today that Mr. Arturo Ronderos has been appointed as Vice President - International and Domestic Life Insurance Operations.
As part of the senior management team, Mr. Ronderos will be responsible for the management of operations of Latin America, International Dollar, Domestic Life Insurance and Service Delivery.
Mr. Ronderos has nearly 30 years of experience in the life and health care insurance industries in Latin America and in the United States.
"Arturo's leadership and expertise in managing operational transformation efforts combined with his vast experience in the insurance industry will result in a positive impact for Pan-American Life," said Chairman and CEO of Pan-American Life, Jose Suquet. Before joining Pan-American Life, Mr. Ronderos served as an independent consultant, providing strategic assessments to private equity firms on the impact of information technology operations trends in the health care and property and casualty sectors. In addition, he held several senior management positions at Aetna and CIGNA, both multinational life and health insurance companies.
As part of the senior management team at Aetna, Mr. Ronderos' responsibilities included improving the operational performance of numerous functions and divisions, such as pharmacy benefits management, billing and collection, and call center services. Mr. Ronderos successfully turned around a $90 million, five-year program improving quoting and pricing for the middle market and national segments, increasing cross selling and improving margins by 2.5 percent.
Mr. Ronderos earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration in computer science from Baruch College at The City University of New York and an MBA in corporate finance and international trade from the University of Hartford.
