NetApp Storage Systems Named 2008 "Product of the Year" by Channel Insider

Business Wire, May 28, 2008

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) today announced that the NetApp[R] FAS series storage systems were named 2008 "Products of the Year" in the Networked Storage category by eWeek Channel Insider. The Product of the Year awards were chosen by a select group of solution providers based on value, support, and profit potential. The winner's list, which is broken into five categories -- business software, security, utility software and systems, clients and peripherals, and networking and storage -- serves as a roadmap for channel partners.

The NetApp FAS storage systems offer a single unified architecture across all tiers of storage and allow customers to readily consolidate direct-attached storage (DAS) for virtualized servers into a single networked solution and scale on demand. The systems offer unmatched business agility, superior application uptime, simplicity of management, and breakthrough value for enterprise customers.

"The eWeek Channel Insider Products of the Year reflect the channel community's experience and sentiments for superior products that they resell and support. The winners of this year's award should take great pride in their delivery of excellent technology, services, and support to their channel partners," said Lawrence M. Walsh, vice president and group publisher of eWeek Channel Insider.

"NetApp is thrilled to receive top marks from eWeek Channel Insider," stated Leonard Iventosch, vice president of Worldwide Channels at NetApp. "We strive to create truly outstanding experiences for our partners and customers through product innovation and support, and to be recognized for our commitment is a great honor."

The eWeek Channel Insider 2008 Product of the Year is the latest in a string of honors this year for NetApp FAS systems. Earlier this year, the NetApp FAS2000 series was named the winner of the Silver Award in the Disk and Disk Subsystems category of the Storage magazine SearchStorage.com "2007 Products of the Year" awards, and the FAS2020 was named "Best Unified Storage Solution of the Year" by InfoWorld.
