The Critically Acclaimed Documentary, Darfur Now, Produced by Participant Productions is Now Available on DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Participant and Amnesty International Are Holding a Nationwide "House Party" Call-in with Darfur Now Director Ted Braun on Friday, May 30th.
LOS ANGELES -- Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released Participant Media's critically acclaimed documentary Darfur Now on DVD. Darfur Now is a story of hope in the midst of one of humanity's darkest hours - a call to action for people everywhere to help end the catastrophe unfolding in Darfur. The movie, which is Rated PG, chronicles the struggles and achievements of six different individuals in Darfur and around the world who are trying to bring an end to the crisis.
As part of Participant Media's Social Action Campaign for Darfur Now, Participant Media and ENOUGH are co-sponsors of Darfur Now the Tour, a series of free screenings and musical concerts at five U.S. colleges designed to engage American students in Darfur activism. Written and directed by Ted Braun, the film explores the Darfur conflict through the first-hand experiences of six people. From a UCLA graduate in Manhattan Beach, California, to a Darfurian woman who joins rebel forces, the movie stars actors Don Cheadle, Hejewa Adam, Pablo Recalde, Ahmed Mahmoud Abakar, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, and Adam Sterling.
