Rockwell Automation Declares Quarterly Dividend; Elects Donald R. Parfet to Board of Directors

MILWAUKEE -- Rockwell Automation Inc. (NYSE: ROK) board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share on its common stock, payable Sept. 2, 2008 to shareowners of record at the close of business on Aug. 11, 2008. The board also announced that Donald R. Parfet was elected as a new member of Rockwell Automation's board of directors.

Parfet, 55, is managing director of Apjohn Group LLC, a business development firm that creates new commercial opportunities in the life sciences industry. He is also general partner of Apjohn Ventures, a venture capital fund investing in life sciences companies. Before establishing the Apjohn Group in 2001 and Apjohn Ventures in 2002, Parfet was senior vice president at Pharmacia where he led a business portfolio with combined revenues greater than $1 billion. He served with The Upjohn Company, Pharmacia & Upjohn, and finally Pharmacia Corporation for 23 years.

Parfet is a director, Kelly Services Inc. (NASDAQ:KELY) and MPI Research Inc., a private biotech research company. Additionally, he serves on the boards of several start-up companies in which Apjohn is an investor. Parfet is board chairman, Kalamazoo College Board of Trustees, and director, Southwest Michigan First.

Parfet holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in economics from the University of Arizona.
