SAPPHIRE attendees will get to see how the eMerchandising[TM] and Commerce Agility Suite[TM] solutions set can help commerce customers add more transactions to each order with value-based selling and also see the ease of development with the Kukini[TM] workbench to allow teams to implement new functionality to their sites up to 4x(1) faster than their competitors building from scratch.

Value-Based Selling

Traditionally, commerce solutions easily offer cross-selling and up-selling functionality for an administrator to associate 1+ products to create a selling reference. However, today's tightening economy and savvy, price-hunting shoppers create a situation where online sellers are looking for new and unique ways to increase revenues from their e-commerce sites and to differentiate their businesses from competitors that are only a click away. eMerchandising provides that solution.

eMerchandising increases orders by 15%(1) with incentive messaging and dynamic, contract-based, customer-specific pricing schemes that leverage tiered- and quantity-based pricing incentives. eMerchandising comes with a Web 2.0, user-friendly interface for non-technical, merchandising managers to easily manipulate sale schemes. eMerchandising's patent-pending arbitration engine processes and messages available incentives to shoppers without impact to the site's performance. eMerchandising is available for the BroadVision[R] Commerce Agility Suite and non-BroadVision platforms. Customers such as Epson America are already using eMerchandising's capabilities to get an edge on their competitors.

Faster Time-to-Market Platform

The Commerce Agility Suite (CAS) 8.1 solution is based on BroadVision's Kona[TM] platform and uses the Eclipse-based Kukini workbench that was released in 2007. CAS provides the key features of an e-commerce site -- pricing, catalog management, shopping cart, checkout and order management capabilities -- in a highly flexible structure. Customers can get their sites up and running in record time while tailoring site behavior to their business' unique requirements. The e-business framework enables customers to extend the Commerce Agility Suite without sacrificing the time-to-market and TCO benefits of a packaged e-commerce application. CAS lets companies manage B2B, B2C and B2B2C channels through a single solution.

"We are pleased that customers have already seen the significance of value-based selling to gain more share of wallet for each customer transaction. Particularly in today's economic times where purchasers - both retail and B2B buyers - are looking for a savings, but the merchant must also keep an eye on his and her margins," concludes Dr. Pehong Chen, President and CEO of BroadVision, Inc. "eMerchandising and Commerce Agility Suite are solutions that do just that. Additionally, with the K2TM toolset, these customers will be able to edge out their competitors in this tight market. We are thrilled to be part of their successes."
