Sandorfi to address green storage solutions and the impact on the data center

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- SEPATON, Inc., the leader in enterprise-class data protection solutions, today announced that Miklos Sandorfi, chief technology officer (CTO), will be a speaker at Red Herring North America, taking place May 12-14, 2008 at The Fairmont San Jose Hotel in San Jose, California.

Mr. Sandorfi will participate in a roundtable session entitled "Cleantech - Which technology will stand out?" which will take place on Tuesday, May 13th from 6:00 to 6:45pm PDT in Room B. The roundtable will discuss various emerging 'green' technologies, as well as those that will have the most significant impact on the marketplace and venture capital investment. Mr. Sandorfi will bring his expertise in the storage sector to the session, discussing how new backup and recovery solutions such as virtual tape and data deduplication are playing a substantial role in cutting data center energy consumption and setting data centers on a new track. As a member of the Green Grid, SEPATON remains dedicated to developing products that enable greater energy efficiency and minimize space consumption.

As SEPATON's chief technology officer, Mr. Sandorfi is responsible for the Company's product vision and roadmap. He has an extensive background in the development of enterprise-class storage systems and has been outspoken about how advanced storage technologies are playing a role in the green data center movement. Prior to joining SEPATON, Mr. Sandorfi served for more than a decade at EMC Corporation, where he was responsible for many technological advances in several product categories including client/server, mainframe and Open Symmetrix. Mr. Sandorfi has thirteen granted and eight pending patents for inventions in SEPATON ContentAware technology, Fibre Channel and Disk Subsystem I/O technology space.

Mr. Sandorfi has a BS in Engineering from Northeastern University and completed an EMC-developed Executive Education Program in conjunction with Babson College.
