Chicago Investment Group Appoints Howard Rosenburg General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer

CHICAGO -- Chicago Investment Group (CIG) http://www.gocig.com, a privately held, full-service investment boutique - announced it recently hired Howard J. Rosenburg as its general counsel and chief regulatory officer.
Prior to joining CIG, Rosenburg represented financial services clients at DLA Piper US LLP, the world's largest law firm. His clients ranged from international financial conglomerates to individual securities brokers involved in commercial disputes and in investigations and actions brought by the SEC, CBOE, FINRA (NASD and NYSE) and state securities regulators. Rosenburg also has provided counsel about regulatory and compliance aspects of the Securities Act, Exchange Act, Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act and the USA Patriot Act.
CIG's primary offerings include traditional brokerage services, investment banking/ private equity, wrap accounts and RIA managed platforms.

Rosenburg's experience also includes working for the Division of Enforcement of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, where he handled complex securities investigations and litigation involving fraudulent accounting practices, insider trading, Ponzi schemes, broker/dealer misconduct, stock price manipulation, fund misappropriation and Internet-related cases.
Rosenburg earned a Bachelor of Science with high honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1995. He earned his J.D. with honors from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1998.
Licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida, Mr. Rosenburg has published several articles on securities fraud and compliance issues. He has also given speeches before the National Securities Compliance Professionals organization and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
Rosenburg serves on several boards in the Chicago area including the Lawyers Committee and Financial Services Committee of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, the Alliance of Latinos and Jews, the Decalogue Society of Lawyers and the Lake View Citizens' Council. He also serves on the Hate Crimes Prosecutions Advisory Counsel for the Cook County State's Attorney.
In February 2008, Rosenburg was named an Illinois Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers. The search process was conducted by Law & Politics and Chicago magazines. Mr. Rosenburg resides in Chicago with his two children, and his wife, who works for the Chicago Children's Museum.
