Tetralogic Pharmaceuticals Appoints Dr. Andrew Pecora as Chairman of the Board

MALVERN, Pa. -- TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company, announced today the appointment of Dr. Andrew Pecora, FACP, as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Pecora had served as a member of the Company's Board of Directors since January 2007.

John M. Gill, President and Chief Executive Officer of TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals, stated, "Drawing on his vast experience in hematology-oncology, cancer research and the business of healthcare, Dr. Pecora has contributed greatly as a member of the Board since his appointment last year. Dr. Pecora provides TetraLogic with a wealth of expertise in the field of hematology and oncology, cancer research, novel therapeutic development and clinical trial design. Under his leadership, the Hackensack University Cancer Center has become one of the top cancer centers in the United States. Dr. Pecora has spent the past 18 years in various capacities at Hackensack University Medical Center, currently serving as Chairman and Executive Administrative Director of The Cancer Center. He also serves as Chairman and was a founder of Amorcyte, Inc., a company developing cell therapies for cardiovascular disease, and as Chairman and CEO of a cell therapy manufacturing and services company, Progenitor Cell Therapy, LLC.

Dr. Pecora has authored and co-authored numerous articles, abstracts, books, chapters and monographs and is a frequent lecturer in the field of cancer. Prior to joining Hackensack Medical Center, he was a hematology-oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Pecora is licensed to practice Medicine in both New Jersey and New York and is a Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ.
