PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- In the latest industry accolade for its leadership in the next gen Operations Support System (OSS) space, Telcordia has been acknowledged for the third consecutive year as the global Service Fulfillment market leader by OSS Observer, an independent research firm that analyzes telecom software. In a market that OSS Observer expects to grow from US$2.03 billion in 2007 to US$3.33 billion by 2012, Telcordia's 2007 No. 1 market share shows that it remains the vendor of choice for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) worldwide.

The April 2008 report, Service Fulfillment Market Review, provides an in-depth analysis of the market shares of leading vendors in the Inventory Management, Order Management, Activation and Engineering Tools marketplaces. One of the report's key findings is that Telcordia was the market leader with 11 percent market share, leading every service fulfillment segment.

"Service fulfillment continues to change as CSPs shift their emphasis from basic support systems to more modern platforms that support new residential broadband and mobile services," the report says.

"Telcordia continues to be the overall Service Fulfillment market leader," said Larry Goldman, founder and senior analyst, OSS Observer. "The sector is very dynamic as operators look to launch more broadband services, and we expect the value of this market to increase significantly during our forecast period."

Integrating fulfillment across multiple services and platforms is a vital part of the managed evolution process that CSPs are embracing in order to leverage their existing network investment while building out new IT-based infrastructure to meet the growing demand for advanced services. Telcordia works with global tier 1 CSPs to implement a managed evolution strategy that helps them migrate from legacy to next generation networks in a prudent, low-risk, highly efficient way.

"Telcordia truly understands and responds to customers' business priorities with flexible solutions that combine proven products with experience-backed consulting that speed time to market of innovative, revenue-generating services," said Michael Anderson, president, Global Solutions, Telcordia. "With a world-class portfolio that includes the market-leading Telcordia( )Fulfillment Suite, only Telcordia can help CSPs achieve superior business performance across a complex supply chain."

Telcordia has also been recognized as the global service fulfillment market leader by industry analyst firms Stratecast and IDC.
