Settlement Music School Announces School-wide Open Houses, Saturday, June 7, 2008, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at all six branches

Largest community school of the arts in the United States opens its doors to everyone in a day full of performances, demonstrations, giveaways, lesson sign-up and fun for the whole family

If you ever wanted to try music or dance lessons, now is the time to explore it at Settlement Music School, which will hold an Open House at each of its six branches in the region on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Designed to help families and individuals learn more about the opportunities for music and dance instruction at Settlement Music School, the open houses are free and open to the public. Settlement is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Rohm and Haas Company is the Presenting Centennial Year Sponsor.

What: Settlement Music School Open Houses -- student and faculty performances, singing with the Gleeksman-Kohn Children's Choir, Music Workshop demonstrations (ages 3-8; meet teachers, try out an instrument; learn about programs for students with disabilities, pre-register for summer camp and fall season; prize drawings, giveaways)
