Agnes Chapski Named Vice President & Publisher of Allure

NEW YORK -- Agnes Chapski was named Vice President and Publisher of Allure, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President and C.E.O., Conde Nast Publications. She replaces Nancy Berger Cardone who was named Vice President and Publisher of Gourmet. Ms. Chapski's appointment is effective May 12th. Ms. Chapski has been the Associate Publisher at Vanity Fair since September 2006. Previously, she was the Associate Publisher of Lucky, where she had been since the launch of the title in 2000. Prior to joining Conde Nast, Ms. Chapski worked at Weider Publications, first as Vice President, Group Advertising Director for their women's titles and then as Vice President and Publisher of Jump.
"Agnes is a strong publishing executive who is well respected by her staff and within the ad community," Mr. Townsend said. "I am delighted to have someone with her experience and talent takeover at Allure."
Ms. Chapski holds a bachelor's degree from Smith College. She resides in New York City with her husband and their two children.
Conde Nast Publications, a unit of Advance Publications, includes twenty-six consumer magazines and their websites, eight uniquely branded websites, the Fairchild Fashion Group, Parade, the Conde Nast Media Group, and the Shared Services Centers.
