Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology Expands Its Board of Trustees with Skilled Leaders from HP, Intuit, NetApp, Purdue University, and SAP

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) is pleased to announce the expansion of its board of trustees. The six new board members deepen ABI's ties to high-tech companies and academia, and will help increase the Institute's impact on the high-tech industry.
Robin Abrams has spent nearly 35 years in key leadership roles at numerous high-profile high-tech companies, including CEO positions at Palm Computing, Firefly Mobile, Bluekite, and VeriFone.
Prith Banerjee is the senior vice president, research and director, HP Labs. Before joining HP, Banerjee was dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Nora Denzel is senior vice president and general manager of Intuit's Payroll Business. She previously held engineering, marketing and executive positions at Hewlett-Packard, Legato Systems (now a division of EMC), and IBM.
The John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and Ramsburg Distinguished Professor at Purdue University, Leah Jamieson received ABI's Women of Vision Award for Social Impact in 2007.
At SAP, Dr. Ike Nassi is executive vice president, head of research for Americas and China, and head of Global Business Incubation. Prior to joining SAP, Dr. Nassi helped start Encore Computer, InfoGear Technology, and Firetide, and was one of the co-founders of the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.
The CTO and senior vice president of NetApp, Brian Pawlowski is co-author of the NFS Version 3 specification and co-chair of the NFS Version 4 working group at the Internet Engineering Task Force.
