Gold Client chosen to improve data quality and security for testing and training in SAP environment

VERNON HILLS, Ill. -- Hayes Technology Group, the developer of Gold Client[R], the premier refresh and replication data management software solution for use within SAP[R] solution-based environments, announced today that Cameco Corporation, one of the world's largest uranium producers accounting for 19% of world production from its mines in Canada and the US, has chosen Gold Client to manage the growth and precision of its SAP testing and training databases.

Cameco, headquartered in Saskatchewan, Canada, is a leading provider of processing services required to produce fuel for nuclear power plants, and generates 1,000 MW of clean electricity through a partnership in North America's largest nuclear generating station located in Ontario, Canada. Cameco's strategy is to build on it solid asset base in uranium and uranium conversion, and expertise in the global nuclear industry with sustainable investments to provide clean-energy solutions for growing world markets.

Gold Client eliminates the need to copy the entire production database to non-productive environments by allowing users of SAP solutions to dynamically export user-defined subsets of SAP data from any source within the environment. Extensions of Gold Client then enable users to import the data subsets back to the environment as needed for development, testing and training.

"One of the most difficult challenges to overcome in an SAP environment is the replication of production application data for development, testing and training," said Nick Kochar, Director, Business Information Technology, Cameco Corporation. "For Cameco, both accuracy and security were key in the decision making process. Once we found Gold Client we knew we had our solution. It ends full database copy inefficiencies without compromising the data's security. In addition, its scrambling capabilities allow us to mask or transform sensitive data in the testing environment while still providing our developers with records that match the production environment in form and functionality."

Gold Client dramatically reduces the amount of time and effort required to replicate data throughout the environment which can be reduced from as much as two weeks to just a few hours, helping keep projects on-schedule. The innovative software also reduces enterprise storage requirements, improves the quality and availability of test data, restores development integrity, and helps assure data security.

Gold Client has successfully completed ABAP[R] Add-on certification for SAP NetWeaver[R] Application Server, achieving "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" and "SAP Solution Manager Ready" status. Gold Client is available for use with the SAP ERP, SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) and human resources (SAP HR) applications.
