CHICAGO -- In www.ONN.tv's (http://www.onn.tv) Wednesday morning edition of "Yield Curve Update," host Kevin Cook spoke with Jim Iuorio of TJM Institutional Services about LIBOR credit spreads and why banks are hoarding cash. Iuorio explained why short-term U.S. Treasury securities and gold are favored right now with the credit markets under siege.

Cook and Iuorio also looked at the possible flight to dollars as the Euro currency broke below 1.40 minutes before their discussion on the CME trading floor. This prompted further discussion between the two about the prospects for an interest-rate cut by the European Central Bank on Thursday and why the "single-mandate" ECB may have their hands tied even as Euro-zone economic growth slows.
