PENNINGTON, N.J. -- Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTT and London Stock Exchange AIM: OPT) ('OPT' or the 'Company') has been advised that Mr. Paul F. Lozier, a director of the Company, made several open market purchases of OPT's common stock, as follows:
* October 9, 2008 - 500 shares at $6.75 per share
* October 10, 2008 - 1000 shares at $6.32 per share
* October 10, 2008 - 500 shares at $6.50 per share
Following these transactions, Mr. Lozier holds options for 9,000 shares, and owns 10,121 shares of OPT's Common Stock, representing approximately 0.10% of the shares in issue.
