Nation's Largest E-Discovery and Digital Forensics Conference to Feature Speakers from the FBI, US Congress, Georgian Ambassador to the US, Former KGB Major General, and Leading Government and Private Sector Cyber Crime Experts

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- TheTrainingCo., in conjunction with InfraGard, The National Institute of Standards and Technology and the University of Fairfax, announced today the 4th Annual Techno Forensics Conference will take place at NIST Headquarters in Gaithersburg Maryland on October 27-29, 2008. This nationally recognized conference will concentrate on the areas of Security, Digital Forensics, e-Discovery, legal issues surrounding identification, collection and protection of forensic data as well as protecting the Nations' Critical Infrastructure to include SCADA systems.
Unlike other forensic conferences that are limited to law enforcement only or are vendor specific in nature, this conference will be open to everyone currently involved in computer forensics, digital evidence, or anyone having an interest in these rapidly growing fields.
The Techno Forensics conference will have 5 impressive keynote speakers:
Monday, October 27th will begin with a keynote by Johnny Long - World-renowned Hacker and author of Google Hacking and No Tech Hacking.
Tuesday will start off with a keynote by the Former KGB Major General, Oleg Kalugin, who served as Chief of Foreign Counter Intelligence for ten years and is now a proud United States citizen. General Kalugin will address "How the Kremlin today is ruled for the first time by the KGB." There will also be a simultaneous keynote by world expert locksmith Marc Weber Tobias, of Security.org. His presentation will be - "Open in 30 Seconds; Cracking one of the most secure locks in America." He will talk specifically about the locks, once believed to be un-crackable and used by every major law enforcement and government facility in the US and abroad.
Tuesday will also feature the Georgian Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Vasil Sikharulidze, to address the recent war with Russia and the extensive use of cyber attacks by Russia against the Georgian government and private news organizations during the conflict. He will provide his government's assessment of the war and the status of his country's plans for NATO membership.
In addition, Congressman James R. Langevin Chairman of the Sub-committee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology of the Committee on Homeland Security and Paul M. Joyal - Managing Director Public Safety and Homeland Security Practice, National Strategies Inc. will address Critical Infrastructure concerns with a focus on cyber attack such as the Georgian-Russian conflict.
Peter S. Probst - Senior Partner, National Security Associates World Wide will address Political Warfare and the Muslim Brotherhood's Targeting of American Institutions, Values, and Infrastructure.
The day will end with a panel of experts on Critical Infrastructure concerns with particular focus on vulnerabilities to cyber attack as seen during the Georgian-Russian conflict.
Wednesday Morning Keynote will feature Inno Eroraha, founder and chief strategist of NetSecurity Corporation, who will address "Responding to the Digital Crime Scene: Gathering Volatile Data" for use in civil or criminal investigations.
