Solucorp Has the Solution to the New EPA Lead Emissions Standards Through its Integrated Fixation System Product Line
Business Wire, Oct 17, 2008
WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- Solucorp Industries Ltd. (OTC: SLUP) has a commercially viable technology capable of bringing non-compliant companies into compliance with the new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lead emission standards. The same Integrated Fixation System (IFS) technology that has been successfully demonstrated at coal fired energy plants to reduce mercury emissions from flue gases can also be used to reduce lead emissions from facilities such as smelters, metal mines, and waste incinerators.
The IFS technology contains the Company's patented Molecular Bonding System (MBS) heavy metals remediation technology that reacts with and permanently remediates any hazardous heavy metals, including lead. The new limits set forth by the EPA will reduce the amount of lead discharged into the air by 90 percent as reported in a CNN.com/health article dated October 16, 2008. This is the first update to the lead standard since 1978. More than 16,000 facilities that produce lead emissions are affected by these new regulations. The EPA has established October 2011 as the date of compliance for these new emission standards. Companies will be looking for a cost effective and permanent answer to their problems and Solucorp's IFS technology is the solution.
Lead is a toxic metal that is used in many different products found in homes such as lead based paint and is emitted from a number of different sources including motor vehicles and industrial facilities. Children under the age of seven are at the highest risk of health effects because lead can accumulate in their nervous systems as they grow and develop. This lead toxicity can cause behavioral problems and learning disabilities as well as seizures or even death.
"Our IFS technology is a cost effective and permanent solution for dealing with the lead emission problem. The Company has always been focused on providing technologies to the marketplace that can make a greener environment. We can assist companies in becoming compliant while helping to protect our children by reducing these toxic emissions". states Noel E. Spindler, President of Solucorp's Integrated Fixation System subsidiary.
