Opnext Schedules November 4, 2008 Earnings Release and Conference Call

(NASDAQ:OPXT), a global leader in the design and manufacturing of optical modules and components, has scheduled the release of its financial results for the second fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2008, prior to the opening of the NASDAQ Stock Market on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The Company will hold a conference call to discuss the results at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time on November 4, 2008.
